Job Summary

We are looking for a Finance professional with strong analytical and Excel skills to support project finance management, budgeting, financial data analysis, MIS reporting, and payment tracking across UEIPL’s various projects.

The candidate will be responsible for maintaining accurate project-wise financial records, monitoring project budgets and expenditures, preparing financial analysis and reports, supporting financial modelling, and coordinating with project teams and clients for timely payment realization.

The role requires a combination of financial acumen, strong Excel capabilities, analytical thinking, attention to detail, and good communication skills.

Key Responsibilities

1. Project Finance & Financial Record Management

  • Maintain project-wise financial records, including revenue, expenses, billing, collections, advances and outstanding amounts.
  • Ensure timely and accurate updating of project financial data.
  • Maintain project-wise records of work orders, contracts, invoices, payments and outstanding receivables.
  • Coordinate with project teams to collect and validate financial and operational data.
  • Monitor project financial performance against approved budgets.

2. Project Budgeting & Cost Monitoring

  • Assist in preparation of project budgets and cost estimates.
  • Monitor actual project expenditure against approved budgets.
  • Prepare Budget vs. Actual (BVA) analysis and highlight significant variances.
  • Track project-wise manpower, travel, equipment, subcontracting and other project-related costs.
  • Identify potential cost overruns and communicate the same to the concerned management/project team.

3. Financial Analysis & Modelling

  • Develop and maintain financial models for projects, business proposals and management decision-making.
  • Conduct project profitability, cost-benefit and financial feasibility analysis.
  • Prepare project-wise revenue, cost and profitability analysis.
  • Support management in analysing project financial performance and future financial requirements.
  • Prepare financial forecasts and cash-flow projections wherever required.

4. MIS & Management Reporting

  • Prepare regular Finance MIS and Project MIS reports for management.
  • Develop dashboards and analytical reports using MS Excel.
  • Prepare project-wise summaries covering revenue, expenses, billing, collections, outstanding receivables and profitability.
  • Provide financial inputs for management reviews and project review meetings.
  • Ensure accuracy and timely submission of all financial reports.

5. Billing & Payment Follow-up

  • Monitor project billing schedules and ensure invoices are raised as per contractual terms.
  • Maintain an updated project-wise receivables and payment tracker.
  • Follow up with project teams and clients regarding pending invoices and payments.
  • Track outstanding payments and prepare ageing reports.
  • Coordinate with the Finance & Accounts team for reconciliation of customer accounts.
  • Escalate long-pending payments and significant receivables to management.

6. Data Management & Analysis

  • Maintain accurate and structured project financial databases and trackers.
  • Analyse financial and project data to identify trends, variances and potential risks.
  • Ensure consistency and accuracy of data received from different project locations/departments.
  • Develop automated or semi-automated Excel reports wherever possible.
  • Maintain proper documentation and records for audit and management reference.

7. Coordination & Communication

  • Coordinate effectively with Project Managers, Project Coordinators, Finance & Accounts, Business Development and Management.
  • Communicate financial issues, payment status, budget variances and project-related financial concerns clearly.
  • Follow up with internal teams and external clients professionally for required information and payment matters.
  • Participate in project review meetings and provide relevant financial updates.
Requirements :

Educational Qualification

Essential:

  • MBA / PGDM in Finance
    OR
  • Company Secretary (CS) qualification.

Preferred:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Commerce, Finance, Accounting, Business Administration or a related discipline.
  • Candidates with additional qualifications in Financial Modelling, Data Analytics or Management Accounting will be preferred.

Experience

  • 2–5 years of relevant experience in Finance, Project Finance, MIS, Financial Analysis, Budgeting or Management Reporting.
